a pile of rejects. so sad. some good stuff here too.

the brief on this one was to show the american 'liberators' as the evil moustache twirling villains they actually were. they decided it was too over the top. but i think i fulfilled the brief pretty accurately.

History of the Italian Paper: Corriere della Sera

In the Name of the Father (a book about a mafia killing, of course)

111 Years art monograph

For this project I worked with artist Davide Cantoni to create the bilingual monograph for his show 111 years/111 anni. Davide creates images using graphite, paper and the sun. He draws images (mostly based on photos from the New York Times) and then uses the sun to burn the image out of the paper. The result is a fragile, haunting and impermanent feeling image. For 111 years Davide combined his technique with infographics. He catalogued all the wars from the past 111 years and for each year created a world map with the afflicted areas burned or scorched out. I designed and lay out the catalogue and even did a bit of proofreading.
